Welcome everyone! Who's interested in some prizes?

I have two $5 Amazon gift vouchers to give away. To win one simply tell me which mythological creature you would like to read about. (Hint, the more unusual the better, though it must still possess the qualities we all like our Alpha male characters to have. A goldfish or guinea pig just somehow won't cut it!) Leave your ideas in the comment section below.

Now check out this little beauty. This KitchenAid mixer is the grand prize and very simple to win.

While you're exploring the amazing authors featured on this blog hop, and looking for your next ebook escape, don't forget to stop by our Facebook pages and like us. (Here's a link to my Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/emmaanderson.writer ) The rules and links to all the featured authors are below, but first let me share a well loved Aussie recipe.

ANZAC Biscuits

125g butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon hot water
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup flour

Melt butter and golden syrup in a pan large enough to hold all the ingredients. Cool slightly.
Dissolve baking soda and add to the pan with the dried ingredients. Mix well.
Place rounded teaspoonsful of mixture on a greased oven tray. Allow room to spread.
Bake at 180 degrees C for 15 minutes or until golden.

Why not enjoy a couple of biscuits while becoming absorbed in my latest book, Refusing His Second Chance?

Why did the constant rejection of a man she barely knew hurt so much?
Allie Fisher’s a successful author and radio show host. So much so, she’s gained herself a stalker. Her life’s turned upside down when she meets Margo. With their new blossoming friendship came a heartache Allie never knew was possible.
Parker Winston’s a 543 year old vampire. He’s had a mate and lost her. He has no room in his heart for anyone else. Even another mate. When he meets his sister’s new friend, he immediately knows she’s his second chance. To preserve his memory of his first mate, he takes what he needs from Allie but offers nothing of himself in return. By the time he realises that there’s enough room in his heart for two, it may be too late.
Can Parker convince Allie of his true feelings for her? Or will her stalker deny him the opportunity by taking her from him permanently.

Now for the rules.

  1. Personally I've always had a thing for dragons. They are dominant and powerful. Things you want in an alpha.

    1. Dragons are hot, both metaphorically and literally! They deserve strong exotic names.

    1. Okay, this is the second time I have entered this reply. Sorry if it shows up twice.
I love angels, but I'm petrified of birds. Though I have an idea for a special bird shifter story, I just have to find the time to write it.

    1. They are a great Australian biscuit. They celebrate those who fought in WW1. ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.
As for dragons, yes I agree, they are everything you have said, and come in pretty colours. I'm just imagining a pink and purple Alpha male dragon. **the evil writer rubs her hands together**

  4. I would love to read about a griffin (a few spellings out there). The body, back legs and tail of a lion with the head and front legs those of an eagle. That would be cool. And hot with all that strength needed to run that body in whatever form it is in - human or griffin. Yep. That's what I would like to read about :) laura.striplin@gmail.com

  5. I recently saw something that featured a Minotaur as the antagonist. I would love to see one where he is the protagonist.

    1. That would be interesting. I can see one being bad, but good would be harder. Both you and Laura have chosen creatures that would definitely be harder to hide within society. Maybe within the land of the Gods. It's definitely something to think about. Thank you

    1. Amy, would you rather the male or the female to a mermaid?

  7. I like stories about angels, but different takes on how they are created and evolve.
    Thanks for the recipe!

    1. Enjoy the biscuits, Melanie. They're a hit in my house. As for angels, I love them. Have you read the Guild Hunter series? It's one of my favourites.

  8. I love dragons, but I haven't seen many books with Phoenix or griffins. Another unusual creature would be a sphinx.

    1. Sphinx would be an interesting one. I have actually started writing a book with a phoenix in it, but like any other author, more characters popped in my head and they just wouldn't leave me alone. Now I'm in the middle of writing my first menage, as well as my first series. My poor computer is in charge of keeping a few unfinished WIPs safe.

  9. Hmm...that's a difficult question. My favorite ones are large cats and wolves. I would like to read about a Satyr though, I think. I found a picture that makes them look so good! ;)
Thank you for the wonderful giveaway and participating in the hop.

  11. I love Panda bears but I don't think that would make a great shifter. So anything with a big cat or I also love dragons!

    1. Diana, I love pandas and polar bears. They have to be my two favourite animals. I agree, pandas might have trouble maintaining the Alpha image when they are so cute and eat most of their waking hours. I have considered a polar bear shifter story, but I need to improve my knowledge of the places they live. We only have them in zoos over here in Australia.

  12. Hmm. I like everyones suggestions. But how about something different? What about The Green Man? Hes a mythical god of the forest. http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/beltanemayday/p/GreenMan.htm
I find him quite fascinating. Tho i do love shifters! :) Thank you! Have a great night!

    1. I had never heard about the Green Man until your comment, Shadow. I just popped over to google him. He sounds fascinated and right up my alley. I love the idea of beings helping undo all the damage we humans have inflicted upon this planet.

    1. Of course you can say wolverines, Aubrey and you're right, people have been very kind in leaving me their messages with their amazing ideas. Though everyone will have to wait until tomorrow to discover who the winners are of the $5 Amazon gift cards. My boys are with my parents, and I need them to do the draw for me.
